This weekend is
Groovy 70s weekend!
Who doesn't love the 70s?!?! Well, we sure do and we're gonna be dusting off the tunes from the 70s all weekend and asking for suggestions from that groovy decade throughout all four shows. Who knows... there may be other surprises in store.
And the coolest part is you get to dress up! Come dressed in your best 70s clothes, or as your favorite 70s character, and you get in for half price at any (or all) of the shows this Friday and Saturday, July 17 & 18.

The funny folks at ComedyCity will once again be sharing the gift of improv with kids ages 7-17. Over the course of four days, campers will learn the art and skills of improvisation - things like teamwork, communication, stage presence and confidence. The week culminates with the campers putting on a weekend show for family and friends.
July 20th - 24th Camp runs Monday through Thursday, 9am-11:30am
(Final show time to be announced) Price - $60 per camper

About the only thing as cool as 70s Weekend is 80s Weekend, so why not have them back-to-back?
Same dealio as before - we'll break out the sweet 80s beats and look for decade themed suggestions from our lovely and talented audience members. Other hijinx may occur.

Venture Theatre Audition Notice:
Sunday, July 26 @ 7pm
The first Venture Theatre show of the season is approaching... and that means auditions!
Auditions will be held at ComedyCity on July 26th (that's a Sunday) at 7 pm. Rehearsals won't start until August 9th or 10th. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 11 - Oct. 3. The show is "The Movie Game," written by Adam Hummel, an Eau Claire, WI native. The cast includes five men and four women. No experience necessary, and you don't need to prepare anything. Come and laugh and sing with the entertainer that we ComedyCity performers go see when we need a good laugh.
So just who is this Pat McCurdy fellow? He's a singer/songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His shows usually consist of just him and his guitar and include improvised interaction with the audience. Performing well over 300 shows a year, his large catalog of original songs (over 600 and growing) covers a variety of topics such as lost loves, politics, family vacations, hair styles, entertainment and French Generals. His shows straddle the line between music and comedy... to the enjoyment of thousands.
