24 Hour Theatre Collective Returns!

The Green Room is once again hosting a unique theatre experience TONIGHT at 7:30PM, this time as an online virtual event. Known as the 24-Hour Theatre Collective, this event brings together writers, directors, actors and audiences to share in the creative process.
In a nutshell, multiple plays will be written, rehearsed, and performed for an
online audience - all within 24 hours.
We reached out to area theatre groups, as well as individuals with an interest in participating - hence the term “Collective.” Interested creative folks (writers, directors & actors) met online last night in a Zoom call.
Random teams were selected, as one of the goals is to get members of the theatre community working collaboratively. Each team has one writer, one director and a number of actors.
Writers had until 8am to write their play, at which point the scripts were sent over to the directors. Directors and actors will rehearse all day until our online performance tonight.
Tickets are $5 and must be purchased online at www.thegreenroomonline.com/reservations no less than 30 minutes prior to showtime. Paid tickets will receive an email with a Zoom link for the show.

Theatre Temporarily Closed - Returning November 6th

Mandates from the State of Wisconsin, in order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 have reduced our capacity to 25% including all staff and performers. For our theatre, this limits seating to 13 audience members, which is not financially sustainable. Thus, our theatre will be closed until the end of the order, returning on November 6th at 7:30PM for ComedyCity shows.
This order affects all of us in the bar, restaurant and performance arts business. Please help to support our local businesses that are remaining open during this time. We all need it and for some, survival depends on it.
We'll be back on November 6th and hope to see you soon as we stay #AlwaysLaughing.

Auditions - Saturday, October 17th
|
Interested in improv comedy? Wanting to stretch your creative muscles? Like working together, having fun, and laughing? Our auditions are for you! Join us Saturday, October 17th 2-4PM at The Green Room.
We'll do some group improv exercises together, have some fun, and you'll even learn some things along the way. Our auditions are done workshop style, no prior experience is necessary, and our troupe members come from all backgrounds, careers, and educations...so no "performing" experience is needed. We want to see you being you, and having fun!
Those selected to continue will move on to a series of group workshops taught by various current ComedyCity performers over several weeks, at mutually convenient times (typically on a weekend afternoon). From there, you may be selected to join us on stage as a ComedyCity performer!
No headshots or resumes needed, just a good attitude and being on time with a willingness to learn. There is no cost for this audition.
Due to COVID, capacity will be limited to 12 for this event. You MUST reserve a spot by emailing Chad Nehring, chad@thegreenroomonline.com prior to auditions. Masks will be required by all in attendance and our workshops are socially distanced.

Overflow - Contactless Drink Ordering!

Get ready for Overflow! We're the first Green Bay area establishment to engage Overflow, a contact-free drink ordering app!
You can download for either Apple or Android devices (Free Public Wi-Fi is available at The Green Room on our wireless, or even faster speeds for Spectrum customers on theirs).
You'll place your drink orders (including any customizations, call liquors, etc) and orders for popcorn/candy through the app. You'll pay for your order directly on the app using a credit or debit card (and also can tip your server). When you're done, leave your phone face up on your table, and when it starts glowing green, your server is headed your way with your order!
No need to get up during a show, no lines at halftime, it's Overflow and it's here at The Green Room!
