Dear friends, patrons, and guests of The Green Room/ComedyCity:
Chad Nehring, co-owner of The Green Room here. I hope you and yours are safe and well. I want to give you an update about our theatre, and also to let you know about some great virtual events that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home...no dressing up required!

Please know that we are financially strong and we will return to live performances as soon as it's feasible for our patrons and perfomers. For over 35 years ComedyCity has been performing in and around DePere, and that will continue, no question about it. We are #alwayslaughing !
Through the Payroll Protection Program, our staff continues to be paid. Contrary to some media reports, through our local bank the process was quick, simple, and our loan was funded rapidly.
Additionally, we applied for and were approved for DePere's Small Business Pandemic Response Loan. The approval process was super easy and this loan will help us with our fixed expenses (rent, insurance, music licensing, etc.) which continue as normal. We are also grateful for the City lowering our license renewal fees for 2020. The City is truly committed to supporting business and keeping us #DEPERESTRONG !
We also appreciate the support of our landlord SAKS Holdings & Andy Krans, Definitely DePere who does so much for downtown, and our distributors & vendors who all have offered resources, if needed, to help us while we are closed.
We also appreciate those of you who have purchased our "Quarantix" specials (info later in this newsletter) as well as those who made donations via PayPal during our virtual shows. All of that revenue has gone directly to keeping our bills and staff paid.
As is the case with many small business owners, we do what we need to do to keep business intact, including drawing no salaries and making investments into the business.. We'll continue to do this to ensure our return and we'll adapt as needed to whatever the "new normal" may eventually be.
Our neighboring businesses need your support as well, please help them out by ordering take out, buying a gift certificate, getting delivery or buying their merchandise for curb-side pickup. We're hosting an absolutely incredible schedule of weekly virtual events, all live either on our Facebook pages unless otherwise indicated.
Tuesdays - 7:15PM - SmartyPants Trivia Virtual Edition - warm your brain cells, win prizes! Triva for all ages presented by Gary, Matt & special guest hosts. Watch the day of for "SmartyHints" and the link to the night's rounds (past rounds have been on either Facebook or Zoom, so stay tuned for the link each week)
1st and 3rd Thursdays starting in May - 7:30PM - ComedyCity Match - Our take on the classic "MatchGame" from the 70's and 80's...some of your favorite ComedyCity performers attempt to match words with our panelists, with some classic Wisconsin twists!
2nd and 4th Thursdays starting in May - 7:30PM - #artcult Virtual Art Auctions - Join Mike Eserkaln for a virtual art auction of some of Mike's (and others) creations. Portion of the proceeds benefit various charities. Current gallery includes an #artcult favorite - Cat Butt paintings! (You should totally check it out). April's auction will be Thursday, April 30th at 7PM. Search for Mike Eserkaln - Author & Artist on Facebook.
Fridays - ComedyCity Virtual Family Fun Show - 7:30PM - Our long running family-friendly ComedyCity show, in virtual format! A lot of your favorite games, and some new ones too, with the ComedyCity troupe! Free and all ages suitable. On the ComedyCity Facebook page.
Saturdays - ComedyCity Grown Up Show - 7:30PM - Our performers return online for virtual improv comedy for the older ones! PG-13 is a good rating for this show. Free! On the ComedyCity Facebook page.
